Amelie is a very special place. The atmosphere is very unique and like nowhere else. The staff makes you feel special every single time you walk in. The food is amazing and very special because those are dishes and ingredients from very specific location of the French countryside that even the French sont necessarily know! Amelie is the kind of place that you leave happier than when you walked in! â¤ï¸
A fantastic wine bar. Really expansive selection with a helpful staff if you're not sure what you want. Great charcuterie and cheese selection. Didn't have dinner, just wine and appetizers.
Met some of the best people there this evening! Stopped in as a solo traveller and sat at the bar only to make some immediate friends. Vibrant, comfortable and tasteful place to enjoy a glass of wine and a cheese plate.
Great ambiance, good selection of wines. Food was good too.
This place was amazing and cozy has a cool atmosphere inside and great customer. It was a great time visit here in this place and we are having a great time. It was a perfect place for everyone.
Nice wine selection and prices. Ones by the glass are a bit sweet it less structured. Great service and friendly crowd.
Absolutely amazing place with great wines and food! Staff is so friendly and you just have a little piece of France in San Francisco! A must visit place!
Arrived at five, it wasn't busy. Staff treated us so nice. Food is like a place in Baltimore I liked.
Chocolate lava cake was served with rancid hazelnuts. Service was terrific. Creme brulee was yummy with very thick sugar crust - not a delicate dessert.
Amazing wine bar!!! Wine cart contains wines from all our the world. Amelie offers happy Hour from 5pm - 7 pm daily, you can pick 3 different wine choices from the menu. Opportunity to taste different wine and select your favorite. Cheese and meat pairings are awesome. Highly recommended for those who like high quality wine.
The ambiance was cute and the charcuterie was good, but overall my experience was pretty ‘meh’. Service was slow, the wine experts were friendly but not very helpful (or chatty) when asked a question about the wine list, and they not only took forever with our charcuterie board but then brought us the wrong order. Unless I happen to be in the area and really want a glass of wine, there are other wine bars in the city that I prefer.
Perfection! The atmosphere was chic and the food was amazing! I highly recommend the bone marrow as an appetizer. We ordered the salmon and hangar steak and it did not disappoint.
Cozy French restaurant/bar on busy, colourful Polk St. Seems to be popular with the more well-heeled set. Visited on a busy weeknight - had to sit at a side table on high stools. Tasty food and very French service style - aloof but courteous. Highly recommend their onion soup.
Favorite wine bar in the city. Great selection of wine, flights, and pairings!
This is a decent wine bar. It's very cosy and a great spot for either an intimate date, or a more intimate gathering of celebration. The wine selection is great. I didn't try the food, but it looked great! The stuff is super friendly. I went there for a birthday, and they went above and beyond to help celebrate the day for the birthday girl.
Very French night out place with nice atmosphere and food. The garçons are welcoming and of good advice on the menu choices. I recommend the salmon tartare and the chèvre chaude. You can see both in my pictures along with the sweet oignons soup and plate of charcuterie. Bring your friend along as the place is also known for wine - obviously as you can see bottle everywhere :)
Cozy spot with a wonderful happy hour! Highly recommend the wine flight and flatbread. Reservations encouraged as it can get crowded
A fun place to hang out and chat over wine and snacks, but I found it to be rather overpriced even at happy hour!
Wonderful place, I have been there for years and the service has always been great. The guys are always happy and professional. Always a nice word for their customers. It especially great for date night or girls night out. Definitely the best wine bar in town.
One of my favorite place in San Francisco!Love the venue, designed as french bars which makes me feel like home.Germain, the owner of the bar, offers a huge variety of wines with a focus on French ones.If you are hungry, share French cheese and charcuterie or taste some French cuisine!!And in winter, they also make Raclette on Thursdays... I already had mine ^^
Perfect place for a date or a fun night out! Their food is really good. They have great food and service! Travis at the bar is awesome!
Very cute neighborhood wine bar. It gets very packed after 6pm and can be difficult to find a place to seat. The crowds come in for their happy hour special of wine flights and snacks. The food is good and there is a good selection of wines. I always opt for the wine flight is usually a better deal and you can try a variety of wine.
The vibe here is a little confusing. But if you want to hit up a no fuss wine bar and chat it up with a friend or a date. This is the spot.
